HigHNoon is an instrument positioning device that utilizes light and shadow techniques, specifically designed for clinicians conducting CT-guided percutaneous interventions.
This newer intervention is based on light and shadow-based needle positioning. The device consists of a light source which casts a shadow of the instrument, a camera and a projected laser cross-hair, that can be together used to visually assist the clinician for instrument insertion into the patient’s body as per the desired plan. The perceived advantages of interventions promise ease of usage with higher accuracy and reduced intervention time.
